Role Summary

The Tactical SATCOM Operator role involves providing technical expertise in satellite communication systems, network setup, and cable infrastructure installation and maintenance. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues and provide timely solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of satellite communication systems.
  • Setup and configuration of LAN/WAN networks, routing protocols, and COMSEC equipment.
  • Installation, testing, and repair of cable infrastructure.
  • Training and support for tactical SATCOM equipment users.
  • Submission of SAR/GAR requests.

Requirements

  • Active US Government issued Secret Clearance.
  • US Citizenship.
  • Four years of experience in communications electronic systems or equipment installation, repair, or maintenance.
  • Four years of experience in tactical environment operating/maintaining antenna controllers, SSPA, LNB, and modem setup.
  • Commercial and military satellite acquisition procedure experience.

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or 4-6 years of military experience in a related field with advanced commercial certification.
