JOB TITLE: Instructor - Operations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Instructors will support the Client Operations Technical Professional Development Team to deliver training and assessment currently delivered by the Client to Technicians and Graduates, using available training hand-outs and materials, in classroom, OJT and Oil Field locations.
  2. A full review of associated training materials will be conducted, with recommendations made and implemented for updating all training programs.
  3. 'Train the Trainer' support will be provided to Client existing Instructors through classroom sessions, On the Job training, Job Shadowing, discussions, etc.
  4. An active part will be taken reviewing training alignment with future business needs and technical challenges, including aligning learning modules and format with new training facilities within the Company and implementing international accreditation of all programs delivered.
  5. The wider Team and Client Learning Community will be supported in any other Training or Learning & Development initiatives identified for their related Job.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  1. Recognized Assessor and Verifier qualifications are required.
  2. Exposure to Vocational Qualifications Frameworks (NVQ's) is necessary.
  3. Candidates must be capable of working with different cultures, coach and mentor existing staff, and develop good working relationships.
  4. A flexible attitude to all work activities is required, along with a willingness to accept training schedule changes and work unsocial hours if needed.
  5. Willingness to travel within client desert locations and gathering centers in Kuwait for work requirements is essential.
  6. A Diploma in Technical Subject (BTEC, NVQ, HND etc.) is required.
  7. Minimum 15 years' experience in Oil & Gas Upstream Gathering Centers Operations, and experience working with major International Oil & Gas Companies is necessary.
  8. Minimum of 4 years previous experience of technical training delivery and assessment in classroom, and OJT workplace training is required.
  9. Previous experience of developing, reviewing and upgrading training materials and curriculum is essential.
  10. A current driving license is required.
  11. Experience working for major Oil & Gas Companies is highly desirable.
