Job Title: IT Infrastructure Specialist

Job Summary:

This role involves supporting the enterprise virtual infrastructure for all sites within the RCC-SWA Area of Responsibility and providing optimization, administration, and technical documentation for the enterprise virtual infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise-level support for VMware virtualization technologies, including VMware ESXi, vCenter, vCOPS, vRealize, and SRM.
  • Top-tier support for escalated issues and complex projects.
  • Daily monitoring of all enterprise virtualization for integrity, reliability, resource utilization, and availability.
  • Periodic reports on virtual resource capacity and utilization, as well as system uptime, performance, and troubleshooting/MTTR.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least five years of practical experience working with various data (network and system) technologies.
  • Working knowledge of server, storage, and desktop virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with vSphere client, ESXCLI, and PowerCLI.
  • Virtualization configuration and administration experience, including VMware vSphere 6.0 and 6.5 technologies.
  • Cisco UCS management, C-series, and B-series servers experience.
  • Regular virtualization capacity planning and reporting experience.
