University Staff Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Higher Education Professional. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to play a key role in shaping the future of our higher education and career services.
About the Role:
- Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance the quality of our higher education programs and services.
- Lead a team of staff to deliver high-quality support to students and graduates, ensuring they achieve their career goals.
- Maintain strong relationships with local companies, promoting internship placements for AU students and graduates.
- Collaborate with various industries in Kuwait to create employment opportunities for AU graduates.
- Foster a close collaboration and working relationship with various AU departments to support the employment process and search.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve departmental objectives, ensuring alignment with the University's mission and vision.
- Supervise, train, motivate, and appraise the performance of the staff, ensuring individual training and development needs are met.
- Implement and supervise operational standards, coordinate, and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Act as a catalyst for change and improvement, identifying and championing opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Improve team efficiency and department effectiveness, ensuring compliance with AU policies and procedures.
- Oversee and manage the AU Alumni and Career Placement Center, establishing and maintaining an up-to-date AU Alumni database.
- Create and expand professional networking opportunities for AU students and graduates, enhancing and expanding alumni programs.
- Liaise with various AU departments to obtain information regarding existing students and graduates who are employment-ready.
- Plan career fairs on campus, supporting alumni activities including alumni reunion, and organizing a campus career day with employers.
