Job Title: Medical Professional

At School Digital Marketers, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Professional to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to make a meaningful contribution to the health and wellbeing of our students.

About the Role:

We are looking for a qualified Nurse who can provide exceptional healthcare services to our students. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing routine medical care, performing health screenings, and coordinating referrals to private healthcare providers as needed. Additionally, they will use technology effectively in the classroom to monitor and record students' health progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide routine medical care to students, including vaccinations and health screenings;
  • Perform health screenings and coordinate referrals to private healthcare providers as needed;
  • Use technology effectively in the classroom to monitor and record students' health progress;
  • Maintain accurate records of students' health and medical history;
  • Examine and authenticate vaccination records;
  • Maintain professional competence through in-service activities provided by the school;
  • Attend all academic meetings as scheduled by the Principal;
  • Educate students on hand washing, germs, and other health care and safety issues;
  • Serve as consultants with other school professionals, such as food service personnel, physical education teachers, coaches, and counsellors;
  • Provide health-related education to students and staff in both individual and group settings;
  • Monitor immunizations, manage communicable diseases, and assess the school environment to prevent injury and ensure safety;
  • Oversee infection control measures;
  • Actively participate in school safety plans that address school violence, bullying, and emergencies that may occur at school;
  • Oversee medication administration, health care procedures, and the development of healthcare plans;
  • Oversee vision, hearing, body mass index, and mental health screening procedures;
  • Making decisions related to the delegation of healthcare tasks as directed by state laws and professional practice guidance;
  • Providing health advice to school educational teams, such as the Committee on Special Education and the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) team;
  • Monitor student achievement of meeting their community service requirements/hours;
  • Monitor and dispense prescription medications based on instructions from parents and GPs;
  • Contact parents and teachers with any medical emergency;
  • Member of the Student Support Team.

Requirements:

  • Work with the Principal to ensure that intervention programs are running effectively and make accommodations/modifications in the programs based on periodic evaluations;
  • Work with the Principal and committee to oversee Awards Program;

Department Goals:

  • Achieving the curriculum and developmental goals planned for the year;

Individual Goals:

  • Be ambassadors in promoting the school;
  • Providing preventive services;
  • Identifying problems in the earliest stages;
  • Overseeing interventions and referrals as a way to foster health and ensure educational success.

Salary: Estimated salary range KWD 4,000 - 6,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
