Job Title: Executive Director - Aircraft Engineering

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our aircraft engineering function. As Executive Director - Aircraft Engineering, you will be responsible for driving operational reliability, safety, and innovation across our fleet.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team, optimize maintenance strategy, and shape the future of our engineering function.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Formulate strategic business plans to ensure operational targets are delivered at optimum cost-efficiency and resource utilisation.
  • Provide strategic direction to the aircraft engineering function to ensure safe and airworthy aircraft are available for operations.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including Kuwait DGCA regulations.
  • Analyse costs and benefits to determine the viability of insourcing various projects.
  • Lead cost optimisation initiatives without compromising safety or operational quality.
  • Negotiate contracts for maintenance, aircraft delivery/redelivery, lease agreements, components service agreements, etc.
  • Ensure aircraft availability and utilisation by coordinating maintenance schedules to support commercial operations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and security procedures related to aircraft, employees, equipment, tools, and facilities.
  • Closely monitor employee performance to ensure continuous professional growth and operational excellence.

Requirements:

  • Holds a valid Kuwait DGCA / EASA / GCAA license in either the Airframe and Powerplant category or Avionics category.
  • Has at least 20 years of work experience in a commercial airline or MRO, with at least 15 years as a Head of Maintenance or Head of CAMO.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Kuwait DGCA regulations and requirements.
