Senior Contract Professional

The successful Contracts & Proposals Specialist will oversee proposal and contract preparation, coordination, and management, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance while supporting risk management efforts and coordinating with departments to meet project and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for summarizing RFPs and coordinating with relevant departments for proposal development inputs.
- Deliver timely proposal information to the technical writing team for prompt submission.
- Manage subcontractor records and provide regular reporting on performance.
- Support proposal planning and coordinate leads identified by the business development team.
- Collaborate with General Counsel on legal matters related to contracts and proposals.
- Oversee cost control, planning, and document control activities across projects.
- Coordinate with the finance department for timely invoicing and payment collection.
- Develop risk management systems and contingency plans for proposals and ongoing contracts.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable legal requirements.
- Monitor and analyze project costs, contractual compliance, and performance metrics.
- Maintain complete and accurate contractual documentation and records.
- Provide interpretation and implementation support of contract terms across departments.
- Support contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and vendors as needed.
- Assist in internal audits and ensure preparedness for external reviews when required.
- Establish and track annual objectives for contracts and proposals.
- Manage business continuity efforts and crisis management planning.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, including contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
- Proven experience in proposal planning and development.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Familiarity with US DOD contracts and regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of contract laws, commercial terms, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong understanding of contract negotiation and risk management processes.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics) is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
