About the Position
The Commercial Manager - Fresh Food is a senior role within our organization, responsible for leading the procurement and logistics functions for our Fresh Food business. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the supply chain and logistics industry, with a proven track record of driving efficiency and cost savings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the procurement and logistics functions for our Fresh Food business, developing and implementing effective strategies to meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and resolve any operational issues that may arise during the purchasing process.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and delivery terms, and monitoring product quality.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and opportunities for cost savings, and present findings to management.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, such as inventory levels, lead times, and supplier performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in retail, with specialized knowledge of the Fresh Food department (F&V, Butchery, and Fishery).
- Strong business communication and negotiation skills, with excellent knowledge of importing and sourcing channels, and full proficiency in English and Arabic.
