Wildland Firefighter

V2X Inc is hiring a Wildland Firefighter to join our team of experienced emergency responders. As a key member of our wildland firefighting unit, you will be responsible for fighting wildfires, conducting prescribed burns, and participating in other fire suppression activities.

This position requires a strong background in wildland firefighting, including experience with wildfire behavior, firebreak construction, and communications protocols. You must also possess excellent physical fitness, navigation skills, and the ability to work effectively in remote areas with limited resources.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Fight wildfires using hand tools, engines, and air support as needed.
• Participate in prescribed burns and other fire management activities.
• Conduct fireline surveys and gather data on fire behavior.
• Communicate effectively with other team members and stakeholders during emergency operations.

• Education and Certifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in forestry, wildlife management, or related field preferred.
• Valid wildland firefighter certification and completion of S-130/S-190 training.
• Ability to hike long distances and work in extreme weather conditions.
