Sustainability Strategist

Job Description:

Sigma Earth is seeking an experienced Sustainability Strategist to support the ESG team in delivering advisory and assurance projects effectively. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for enhancing our presence in the ESG domain among businesses and government regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with KPMG's regional and global ESG network as needed.">
• Contribute to building a strong ESG team, including providing training to staff on sustainability reporting and assurance.">
• Develop and implement effective strategies to identify new business opportunities within Climate Change and Sustainability (CC&S).">
• Assist in developing business plans, pitches, and client engagements; contribute to crafting new propositions, building a robust network in Kuwait, and responding to RFPs and tenders.">
• Provide expertise in working on ESG/sustainability projects, either internally within a company or as an external consultant.">
• Lead and manage multiple ESG projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.">
• Conduct training sessions and workshops on ESG-related topics, sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues and clients.">
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.">

Requirements:

• ">
• 5–7 years of experience in related disciplines, with at least 5+ years in Sustainability advisory, assurance, and/or verification roles.">
• Proven expertise in working on ESG/sustainability projects, either internally within a company or as an external consultant.">
• Consulting experience, particularly with a Big 4 firm, is highly desirable.">
• Strong skills in crafting impactful ESG reports, presentations, and proposals.">
• Ability to lead and manage multiple ESG projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.">
• Experience conducting training sessions and workshops on ESG-related topics.">
• Proven record of delivering ESG services across various industries.">
• Strong analytical skills to interpret ESG data and provide actionable insights.">
• Demonstrated experience in sales activities, proposal development, public speaking engagements, and presenting to Boards.">

Preferred Skills:

• ">
• Developing sustainability strategies and reporting/advisory based on frameworks such as UNGC, GRI, UN Principles for Responsible Banking and Investment, TCFD, and SASB.">
• Experience with DJSI, CDP, and other rating agencies' reporting/advisory is a plus.">
• Background in sustainable finance is advantageous.">
• Experience in conducting human rights assessments and gender equality research and reporting.">
• Familiarity with and working knowledge of sustainability concepts, frameworks, and best practices.">
