About the Role

As a Technical Inspector at Vectrus, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and performance of our Armament Systems. You will work closely with our Maintenance Manager/Technical Inspector Lead to monitor and examine equipment, determine the nature and extent of repairs required, and perform disassembly, examination, and reassembly tasks.

Your expertise will also be used to determine serviceability, exercise initiative to maintain productive progress, and accept responsibility for results from Field Maintenance Support Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough inspections of fire control system components, towed artillery fire control systems, self-propelled artillery fire control systems, tank fire control systems, small arms, other weapons, and towed artillery.
  2. Verify the accuracy of Borescope and Pullover Gauging readings.
  3. Inspect and test laser range finders, ballistic computers, laser observation devices, laser designators, thermal imaging systems, periscopes, telescopes, commander's weapon station/auxiliary sights, aiming circles, image transfer assemblies, quadrants, mount assemblies, fire control support equipment, and test measurement diagnostic equipment (TMDE).
  4. Analyze data to diagnose and troubleshoot defects in equipment.
  5. Utilize technical manuals, bulletins, and written directives to guide inspection processes.
  6. Examine parts for signs of damage or excessive wear.
  7. Order necessary repair parts using approved parts manuals.
  8. Test equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  9. Perform PQDRs, ECODs, etc., and verify condition codes.
  10. Conduct BDAR to assess and repair damaged equipment.
  11. Dispose of equipment according to Army regulations and verify equipment condition codes.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years of experience in Armament Systems maintenance.
  • Completion of formal training (MOS 91F or G course conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army Ordnance School) mandatory.
  • A valid US Driver's License and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Kuwait Driver's License required.
  • Must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have full knowledge of TMDE and its proper usage.
  • Must be proficient in troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing Armament Systems.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and legibly write English.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold the proper clearances and background checks.
