Inspector of Facilities Job Description

V2X Inc is seeking an experienced Inspector of Facilities to join our team in Kuwait. This critical role is part of our LOGCAP support, ensuring the highest standards of fire safety and protection.

Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will conduct thorough inspections and maintain accurate documentation of all facility fire inspections.
  • They will perform plan reviews to guarantee that fire protection systems align with established policies and UFC guidance.
  • Participating in the fire extinguisher exchange program for facilities, conducting training sessions for Facility Managers, Fire Wardens, and other fire prevention personnel are key aspects of this role.
  • The ideal candidate will work closely with DPW, conduct final acceptance inspections on new construction and renovation projects, and maintain records on the inspection and testing of wet pipe sprinkler systems.
  • Participation in Environmental Safety and Health (ESH) programs is also essential for this role.
  • Assisting with fire investigations as required under AR 420-1 specifications is another key responsibility.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience, preferably as a Fire Inspector or Fire Prevention Specialist.
  • Must possess strong written and spoken communication skills, as well as general word processing and computer skills.
  • The ideal candidate should have knowledge of occupancy classification types, fire hazards present in various occupancies, and occupant load factors relating to different occupancy classifications.
  • Familiarity with fire department mission and organization, safety requirements and objectives, fire alarm and communications, fire behavior, portable fire extinguishers, personal protective clothing and equipment, water supplies and sprinklers, hazardous materials, fire prevention and public fire education, and fire cause determination is necessary.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License and host nation Driver's License are required.
  • Must be able to pass physical exam, federal background check, and possess a current, valid U.S. passport.
