Senior AV Support Technician

Job Summary

This is a senior-level position that requires expertise in Audio Visual (AV) systems, video teleconferencing (VTC), and information technology (IT). The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of VTC systems, provide technical support, and oversee the deployment and maintenance of AV equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all VTC operational and administrative requirements are met, including contractual compliance and audits.
  • Provide diagnostic and corrective actions for large-scale VTC systems, including secure switches.
  • Operate and support VTC equipment for briefings, presentations, and sessions.
  • Manage classified materials for VTC sessions.
  • Manage property accountability for Vectrus assets.
  • Provide IT support for conference room briefings and presentations, 7 days a week.
  • Train users on VTC equipment operation, including call management.
  • Support maintenance and troubleshooting of VTC and AV equipment, including projectors, displays, and cameras.
  • Apply knowledge of IP and ISDN VTC systems in troubleshooting.
  • Assist with physical cable installations.
  • Ensure all AV systems comply with security regulations.
  • Design, install, and program audio/video systems.
  • Maintain installed AV systems and provide live event support for ceremonies and concerts.
  • Deploy and manage multiple event audio systems simultaneously.
  • Maintain event and installation schedules, resolving conflicts as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma; military or civilian technical training preferred.
  • Experience with VTC suites and PA systems (1-3 years).
  • Security clearance: Must have a valid Secret Clearance.
  • Skills in AV design, installation, programming, and live audio/video mixing.
  • Strong electrical and IT technical skills, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, in harsh environments, and in diverse conditions.
  • Physical ability for lifting, climbing, and prolonged standing.
