Enthusiastic Admissions Liaison

As an Admissions Counselor at the American University of Kuwait, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the university's future by guiding prospective students through the admission process. This is a dynamic and multifaceted position that requires a unique blend of interpersonal skills, technical expertise, and a passion for education.

• Coordinate student recruitment efforts, ensuring seamless interactions with prospective students, parents, high school counselors, and officials
• Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to engage with prospects, leveraging data mining techniques and relationship-building tactics
• Conduct thorough interviews with applicants to assess their suitability for AUK, adhering to strict admission criteria and requirements
• Manage applicant data collection, entry, and analysis, utilizing Banner and related recruitment technologies
• Generate admission letters, reports, and other essential documents, maintaining accurate and timely communication throughout the process

• Demonstrated experience in college/university admissions or recruitment, preferably with a strong understanding of integrated information systems
• Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic language proficiency
• Aptitude for effective oral presentations, written communication, and collaboration with diverse populations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a methodical approach to prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines
• Ability to establish trust, credibility, and confidence with individuals and groups, both internally and externally

The duties are performed within an office environment, requiring continuous working on desktops and laptops. Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to accommodate flexible scheduling and deal with interruptions throughout the day.
