Project Manager for Mechanical Engineering Projects

The role involves overseeing and coordinating project work for mechanical engineers in accordance with contract requirements. The successful candidate will ensure timely delivery of projects, manage budgets effectively, and maintain high standards of quality.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise site engineers to ensure they adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Control expenses related to project work and ensure organizational forecasts and budgets are met.
  • Handle procurement activities for contracts and subcontracts in accordance with company procedures.
  • Conduct team briefings and inception activities to ensure all aspects of work are understood by all concerned parties.
  • Implement and enforce safety standards and procedures in accordance with contract requirements and company guidelines.
  • Ensure production schedules and deliveries are met through interaction with other departments and clients.
  • Be responsible for scheduling man/material movements for construction and maintenance activities.
  • Liaise with contractors and clients to manage work interfaces and enhancements to project scope.
  • Review and evaluate technical submittals and shop drawings prior to submission to consultants and clients according to required project standards.
Safety and Quality Responsibilities:
  • Maintain standards of safety and comply with the company's Health, Safety & Environment Management System requirements.
  • Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
  • Follow and maintain company standards of Quality in accordance with company Quality System requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical discipline (as appropriate).
  • Procurement & Engineering knowledge.
  • Supervisory Skills.
  • 6-10 years related work experience in GCC Oil & Gas and 5 years in an Site Engineer role.
