Fintech Engineering Manager

Talabat is a leading online food ordering platform in the MENA region, operating in nine countries. With over 4,500 workers, we distribute to nine countries and serve over 27,000 brands and close to 50,000 outlets. Our q-commerce idea, Talabat Mart (121 Stores), offers grocery delivery in 30 minutes or less to customers across Bahrain, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and the UAE.
IntroductionAs part of the Delivery Hero network, we're building the global infrastructure for the next wave of online delivery companies. Our international engineering teams in 13 countries and operations in 40+ countries enable us to innovate and produce value quickly.

Qualifications- Six or more years of software engineering experience, ideally gained in an Extreme Programming environment (TDD, Pair Programming, Simple Design, and Continuous Refactoring)
- Good understanding of lean/agile values & principles and associated practices
- 2+ years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experience
- Experience building & leading cross-functional, empowered, and self-organized teams of multidisciplinary engineers
- Capacity to impart information through coaching and mentoring
- Effective management of stakeholders and dependencies through proactive communication
- Knowledge of Event-Driven, Microservices, RESTful Services, and Distributed Systems Architecture
- Building, sustaining, and enhancing experience with continuous deployment and trunk-based development
- Strong background in web application and API design, implementation, monitoring, and scaling
- Strong comprehension of the entire life cycle of mobile development
- Adept in testing, focusing on automated end-to-end quality
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Strong familiarity with security, monitoring, alerting, performance, and quality standards
