As a skilled Maintenance Professional, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal functioning of facilities and infrastructure.

Your duties may include electrical work, carpentry, painting, concrete finishing, plumbing, welding, drywall installation, door hardware maintenance, and ceiling and flooring system upkeep.

Main Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for maintaining the overall condition of structures surrounding a facility, including fencing, gates, area lighting, sidewalks, and pavements.
  • Repairing and replacing locks in the building to ensure maximum safety and security for all individuals.
  • Disassembling, moving, reassembling, and installing facility furnishings as needed.
  • Developing supply estimates for various projects, gathering technical data, evaluating and formulating safety procedures, and material and fiscal requirements for assigned projects.
  • Assisting project coordinators in planning, cost estimating, designing, developing, and completing local projects.
Safety Requirements
  • You must be knowledgeable of all current safety policies, procedures, and required personal protection equipment (PPE) related to your job description.
  • Aware of fall protection requirements, confined spaces, oil spills, and HVAC liquid chemicals handling.
  • You are expected to attend periodic safety training classes related to your job description.
Qualifications
  • Vocational or High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least seven (7) years of experience as a General Maintenance Mechanic.
  • You must be a US Citizen with Final Top-Secret Clearance based upon a TIER 5 Background Investigation.
  • Favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
Essential Skills
  • Excellent communication skills to convey system problems to co-workers and management effectively.
  • Good mechanical skills to handle equipment safely and avoid causing injuries.
  • Ability to evaluate computer-related work orders accurately and make informed decisions.
