School Discipline Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced School Discipline Manager to join our team at The American Baccalaureate School, a private, non-profit school offering an American-based curriculum in Khaitan, Kuwait.
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate individual to oversee student discipline and behavior management. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive learning environment, ensuring students adhere to school rules and regulations, and collaborating with parents, teachers, and staff to address disciplinary issues.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise and evaluate department staff on classroom management procedures to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Meet with parents to discuss discipline and behavior management concerns, providing guidance and support to help students succeed.
- Maintain open communication channels with the administrative team and school Superintendent, keeping them informed of relevant issues and concerns.
- Establish a positive and inclusive climate that promotes student self-discipline, respect, and responsibility.
- Exercise disciplinary authority over students on school premises and during activities, maintaining a fair and consistent approach.
- Supervise students and activities in school buildings and on grounds, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Monitor student arrival and departure times, enforcing attendance policies and procedures.
- Manage student behavior during lunch duty, promoting social skills and conflict resolution techniques.
Requirements:
- Native English speaker preferred.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in education or a related field, with a proven track record of success in student discipline and behavior management.
- Strong leadership and computer literacy skills, with proficiency in educational software and systems.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and employees, fostering a collaborative and inclusive school community.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid vacation time, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
