**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting chemical and physical analyses of oil and gas samples, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline, and a minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience in a laboratory environment.
The Laboratory Technician will work closely with our Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions to provide technical support as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting chemical and physical analyses of oil and gas samples
- Creating cement slurry designs tailored to specific oil-well conditions and parameters
- Operating, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments
- Developing competency in advanced additive selection and fluid design
- Performing quality assurance tests on company products
- Maintaining and updating the database of slurry tests and designs performed in the lab
- Preparing technical reports/analysis for internal and external customers
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
- Minimum 6-8 years relevant experience in a laboratory environment
- Certification as a Laboratory Analyst or equivalent is advantageous
