Job Overview:

As a Tactical SATCOM Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless communication between military personnel and their command centers. Your primary responsibility will be to install, repair, and maintain tactical VSATs, including fiber optic cabling, patch panels, and CAT5E/6 cable infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain tactical VSATs, including fiber optic cabling, patch panels, and CAT5E/6 cable infrastructure.
  • Configure and integrate Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment into all tactical SATCOM systems.
  • Provide training on tactical SATCOM equipment when required.
  • Submit Satellite Access Request / Gateway Access Request (SAR/GAR).

Requirements:

  • An Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret Clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Four (4) years of experience in support of installations, repair, troubleshooting or maintenance of communications electronic systems or equipment.
  • Four (4) years of experience operating in a tactical environment operating/maintaining antenna controllers, SSPA, LNB, Fiber optic/Coax/Ethernet Cable, Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) modems (satellite modems).
