Job Title: Ice Cream Production Director

This leadership role is responsible for providing strategic direction and operational oversight to the production team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ice cream production, strong technical skills, and a proven track record of delivering results-driven initiatives.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, improve quality, and enhance productivity.
  • They will be responsible for developing and implementing process improvements, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the production team is also essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Achieve operational performance targets through proactive identification and resolution of trends that impact performance.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to optimize plant operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
  3. Drive employee development through training programs, upskilling, and reskilling initiatives.
  4. Embed lean methodologies throughout the manufacturing value chain to eliminate waste and maximize productivity.
  5. Stay updated on the latest manufacturing trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
  6. Manage staffing levels, conduct performance evaluations, and oversee disciplinary actions as needed.
  7. Foster a digitally adept workforce to enhance productivity through technological advancements.
  8. Ensure the plant and equipment remain clean, well-maintained, and audit-ready at all times.
  9. Adhere to company policies, departmental procedures, and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  10. Establish and drive a performance control management system on the shop floor.
  11. Identify improvement opportunities and propose capital projects with clear justifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dairy Science & Technology, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a managerial role such as Plant Manager or Production Manager in the dairy sector.
  • Strong command of MS Office, ERP, and MES systems.
