Detailed Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Plan sales targets and annual budget aligned with overall objectives, implement, and monitor for effective results. Prepare, gain approval for, and implement yearly budgets, profit plans, and business strategies for the branch focused on business development, customer satisfaction, and increased profitability, following the bank's strategy. Monitor branch profitability and prepare progress reports and analyses as required by Senior Retail Banking Management. Stay informed about developments in the area and the market, discussing new ideas with management to increase branch business. Maintain customer satisfaction through regular calls and visits as per management plans. Provide ideas to enhance the bank's transactions. Ensure compliance with senior management directives on market plan initiatives. Operational Lead sales and service efforts, focusing on business development and building key relationships. Attract new business and expand existing accounts through deposits and lending, promoting bank products. Meet sales objectives by setting targets, applying marketing research, and conducting sales and service meetings. Promote bank products actively in the branch and through personal interactions. Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers, focusing on key clients. Identify community financial needs by engaging with the business community. Present branch sales and service performance to senior management. Review customer financing applications, analyze and evaluate applicants, and monitor accounts to manage credit risks. Manage operations, processes, and personnel to meet customer service standards. Handle customer complaints promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction. Compliance Responsibilities Oversee compliance with bank policies and government regulations, reviewing credit files and coordinating with audit and collections departments. Ensure passing branch audits with at least a 'satisfactory' rating, addressing findings within agreed timelines. Manage branch expenses, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions. Coordinate with the Branch Operations Officer on staffing, transactions, and security measures. Assess and discuss infrastructure needs with the Area Manager to ensure operational efficiency. Maximizing Employee Contribution Coach, mentor, and appraise staff to perform at high levels with a focus on customer service. Discuss career development plans with staff and resolve personnel issues. Motivate employees to proactively seek sales and referral opportunities. Participate in hiring processes alongside the Area Manager and HR. Ensure staff are familiar with operational procedures and contingency plans. Key Interactions Internal: Associates within the branch and other divisions External: Government officials, customers, default borrowers, and their employers Education Qualifications Bachelor's or Diploma in Business Studies, Commerce, Accounting, Business Management, or Sustainability preferred. Experience Minimum 7 years in retail financial institutions, with at least 4 years in a supervisory role. At least 2 years as a Branch Manager handling a specific area (for external candidates). Good knowledge of retail banking operations. Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales goals in sales-oriented financial institutions. Ability to develop sales strategies based on customer feedback and market conditions. Creative and innovative problem-solver to increase sales and improve processes for higher customer satisfaction.
