Job Description Department: Campus Services Reports to: Executive Director of Human Capital and Facilities Management Scope And Purpose: The Security / Control Room Supervisor aims to manage a team of security personnel, delegating tasks, monitoring performance, and conducting daily briefings. They respond to incidents, monitor CCTV and security systems, and perform regular patrols to identify potential breaches. Job Responsibilities: Monitoring and Surveillance: The monitoring of security and surveillance systems and equipment, such as CCTV cameras, alarms, access control systems, and other monitoring tools. It is necessary to maintain a constant eye on the control room screens to detect and respond to any security threats or breaches. Incident Response and Emergency Management: Coordinates and directs response efforts in the event of a security incident or emergency, notifies appropriate personnel or authorities, and provides accurate information to enable an effective and timely response. Communication and Coordination: Maintaining channels of communication with security personnel, emergency services, and other relevant stakeholders, in addition to coordinating security-related activities or sharing information with other departments or external agencies. Development and Implementation of Security Policies, Procedures, and Protocols: Security measures must be in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements. Furthermore, they oversee enforcing security policies and educating employees on security awareness and compliance. Training and Development: Training control room operators or security personnel on security system training, emergency response protocols, and adherence to security policies. They may also organize drills and exercises to improve the team's readiness and evaluate their performance. Team Management: Assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent; higher education or certification in security management is an advantage. Licenses And Certification: Relevant security licenses and certifications, such as First Aid/CPR. Required Experience: Proven experience in a security-related role, with prior supervisory or control room experience preferred. Skills: Proficiency in CCTV operations, monitoring systems, and incident reporting software. Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Background: Clean criminal record and strong ethical standards. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with emergency procedures and response protocols. Languages: English and Arabic (an addition).
