Middle East Telecommunications (METCO) is looking for Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Position Summary:

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead METCO's technological vision, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving innovation across multiple technology domains. The CTO will oversee pre-sales engineering teams, manage vendor relationships, spearhead vendor selection, and bring new technologies to enhance METCO's portfolio. The role will also involve strategic collaboration with General Managers (GMs) and their respective country teams to win critical projects and maintain METCO's competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities:

  1. Pre-Sales Engineering Oversight:
    Lead pre-sales engineering teams across all countries and technology domains.
    Ensure consistent and high-quality support for sales teams to meet client requirements.
    Develop processes and best practices for pre-sales activities, including solution design, proposal development, and technical presentations.
    Build and maintain strategic relationships with existing and new vendors.
    Negotiate favorable terms and conditions to optimize partnerships.
    Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with METCO's standards.
    Evaluate and select vendors in the technology domains METCO operates in.
    Assess vendor offerings for compatibility with business objectives and technical requirements.
  2. Technology Innovation:
    Identify and introduce emerging technologies that align with METCO's strategic goals.
    Evaluate market trends and competitor offerings to ensure METCO stays ahead of industry advancements.
  3. Strategic Support for Country Teams:
    Work closely with GMs and their teams to provide technical and strategic guidance for winning key projects.
    Assist in large-scale project negotiations and proposal development.
    Ensure cross-country collaboration and knowledge sharing to leverage best practices.
  4. Performance Measurement:
    Establish KPIs and benchmarks to measure the performance and impact of technology initiatives.
    Continuously analyze and report on performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  5. Vendor Certifications and Partnerships:
    Oversee and manage the required certifications and partnership levels with all vendors.
    Ensure compliance with vendor certification standards and maintain the highest levels of accreditation.
  6. Technology Leadership:
    Serve as the primary technology advisor to executive leadership.
    Develop a cohesive technology strategy that aligns with METCO's business goals.
    Promote a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the organization.

Qualifications and Experience:

·Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
·Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology leadership roles, preferably within system integration or related industries.
·Proven expertise in managing diverse technologies and multi-disciplinary teams.
·Strong understanding of pre-sales processes, vendor ecosystems, and emerging technologies.
·Demonstrated success in building relationships with vendors and winning strategic projects.
·Experience in setting KPIs and benchmarks to measure technological performance.
