We are hiring a Junior Project Manager.

Our mission is to streamline and accelerate open source adoption across the global enterprise technology market. Our customers utilize the Canonical approach for complex projects on bare metal, cloud, and at the edge.

Project Managers at Canonical are responsible for ensuring project success by owning, driving, communicating, and engaging all stakeholders with integrity and accountability. They manage projects with complex and evolving software technologies, ensuring customer and partner satisfaction through effective stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Ensuring projects are delivered within schedule, scope, cost, budget, and resources.
  2. Supporting risk and issue identification, and implementing mitigation strategies.
  3. Maintaining strong customer focus and collaborating with stakeholders for successful outcomes.
  4. Conducting regular status meetings and business reviews with clients.
  5. Managing delivery schedules of third-party project components.
  6. Promoting Canonical technologies to customers.
What we look for in you:
  • Strong academic record in science, software engineering, or IT, with excellent communication skills in English.
  • A solution-oriented mindset and leadership experience from academic or extracurricular activities.
  • Proven ability to exceed expectations and a passion for technology demonstrated through personal projects.
  • Professional English communication skills and excellent presentation abilities.
  • Interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and a sense of accountability.
  • Appreciation for diversity and effectiveness in multicultural environments.
  • Self-motivation, thoughtfulness, and a drive to meet commitments.
  • Willingness to travel internationally twice a year for up to two weeks.
