Sr AFR Operations Specialist

DHL Global Forwarding has an opening for Sr AFR Operations Specialist in Kuwait. In this position, you will develop and administer AFR Ops/CS plans and processes to deliver flow of goods and information across the customer's global supply chain utilizing air transportation, maximizing profitability, and optimizing utilization of business and human assets in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines, and policies.

In this Sr AFR Operations Specialist position
  • You will act as Customer's first point of contact for shipment information, incident/complaint management, ad hoc pricing, and claims.
  • You will ensure that correct costs and revenues are captured against customer's profile and take ownership to solve simple and complex issues.
  • You will administer shipment level activities including receipt of customer booking, documentation requirements, and all related local and international transport.
  • You will ensure the management of shipments in line with the customer service commitment.
  • You will track, record, analyze and improve exceptions/operational irregularities.
  • You will be responsible for high shipment data quality.
  • You will implement necessary regulatory compliance procedures relating to commodity and locations for shipments.
  • You will route and/or assign shipments to relevant consol that meets our customers service commitment and maximizes our profits.
  • You will identify critical shipments and new business that needs extra support/hypercare.
  • You will answer queries, prepare information for customer visits, and participate in customer visits relating to operational topics.
  • You will execute tasks and activities while meeting resource management and productivity guidelines for the day-to-day operations.
  • You will prepare invoices, debit and credit notes, and necessary backup documentation ensuring customer invoice timeliness and accuracy.
  • You will investigate/support invoice disputes.
  • You will resolve recurring issues and suggest enhancements to processes focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • You will resolve performance issues of suppliers and propose solutions to improve performance.
  • You may provide functional guidance, advice, or training to less experienced positions.
  • You will use industry sector or logistics specialist expertise in your day-to-day work.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • More than 4 years of experience within the same field.
  • Excellent communicator in English, both written and verbal.
