Job Description
The Product Specialist for Oncology & Hematology, reporting to the Gulf Sales Manager, serves as a vital link between the company and healthcare professionals. This role is responsible for promoting a registered product or group of products to a diverse range of customers, including physicians, pharmacists, and relevant decision-makers in both public institutions and private hospitals.
The Product Specialist strategically aims to enhance product awareness, create demand, and ensure optimal and continuous product availability in various institutions and the market.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maximize Sales: Drive sales of products and increase their market share.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Meet sales targets within the designated territory while adhering to all Company HCC requirements.
- CRM Compliance: Maintain accurate coverage of the designated territory and ensure full compliance with CRM reporting requirements according to Company policy guidelines.
- Customer Segmentation: Conduct customer segmentation in alignment with Company guidelines to appropriately approach target customers with the optimal tools and frequency, ensuring best-in-class customer service.
- Database Maintenance: Keep the customer database updated to fully understand customer needs and fulfill them in a timely manner.
- Knowledge Retention: Maintain extensive knowledge of disease areas, products, and competitors.
- Product Information: Stay informed about the latest product information and clinical data provided by the company.
- Data Presentation: Present and discuss this data with healthcare professionals during face-to-face meetings and group presentations.
- Healthcare System Awareness: Keep abreast of new developments in the healthcare system, anticipating potential opportunities and risks, and adapt strategies accordingly to shape the healthcare environment.
- Brand Strategy Support: Support the Brand Strategy and identify new opportunities to drive business growth.
- Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing market analysis, including Market, Competitive, and Business Intelligence.
- Customer Insights: Understand customer and market insights to achieve both short-term and long-term business objectives.
- Network Development: Develop and enhance the contact network with leading specialists and KOLs.
- Relationship Building: Build sustainable and positive relationships with target healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
- Event Coordination: Assist in organizing promotional and educational meetings, symposia, and conferences for physicians and medical staff.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local laws & HCBI guidelines, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and the Policy on Business Conduct (PBC).
- Adverse Events Reporting: Report Adverse Events and product quality complaints promptly, adhering to J&J Pharmacovigilance guidelines.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Kuwait.
- Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field or Pharmacy.
- Experience in Oncology & Hematology is an advantage.
- Proven success working within complex cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.
- Strong anticipation and planning skills.
- Analytical and conceptual skills.
- Awareness and understanding of compliance in the broader context.
