The PurposeThe role-holder is responsible for all device category management duties. Ensuring that the product is available, in the right place at the right time to support business targets and strategic objectives.
Responsible for launching and maintaining a full product device portfolio for all segment and categories in Ooredoo.
Aligns devices category requirements with the marketing roadmap. Owns and manages the cross-functional sales and operation planning (forecasting) process; to ensure robust planning for device inventory requirements; in line with sales channel demands for new launches and on-going offers.
Responsible for the full device wholesale management duties.
The owner of the distribution & wholesale model. This includes end to end management from the forecasting phase until delivery driving Ooredoo's top line revenue while growing relationships with core device brands.
Forecasting & ordering of wholesale products in line with the other device retail requirements.
Partner management to build strategic partners in different countries to help us drive this business including hunting for new partners.
Introduce and manage the wholesale models to drive Ooredoo's revenues and improve margins.
Key Accountabilties & ResponsiblitiesCommunicates production requirements with Vendors (head office)
Responsible for the end to end launch of a device.
Ooredoo: Responsible for the product portfolio of the following products: Smartphones, MBB, Tablets, Consoles for Consumer & Corporate teams.
FastTelco: Responsible for the management of their complete consumer device portfolio.
Drive vendor support to create value propositions improving margin and reducing subsidy.
Responsible for the device roadmap for each of the portfolios.
Drive device upgrades to strategically migrate customers to newer technology.
Segment management to update the different segments of coming products, replacements, and retired products.
Management of new emerging device streams.
Responsible for the device base and the upgrade model for each category.Manage all device related aspects in the business.
Assist and support the sales team in the displays of devices.
Drive and assist the segment team to communicate devices to drive the business.
Manage and assist the operations team in the replacement product portfolio and the process.
Management of the warranty models for the entire device portfolio.
Device related projects to drive the company's revenue and experience.
Mini-Business' leader for accessories & wearables.
Develop and maintain the rolling 3, 6 and 12 months accessory & wearable roadmap and strategic plan.
P+L responsibility for accessory & wearable business.
Build and manage accessory vendor relationships (head office) including the outsourcing of accessories.
Manage and maintain other device services and models to improve the device experience.
Maintain Device retail and offer pricing to ensure competitiveness with competition.
Subject matter expert in market Device pricing in all channels, operator, indirect and independent retail.
Drives alignment with Pricing team/Segments leads to ensure Device bundle pricing/offers meet business targets
Maintains device visual merchandising / in-store plan; in consultation with segment owners, retail management and merchandising manager.
Track industry (Global / Retail / Operator) best practice and drives on-going improvement in the in-store device experience.
Runs sales and operational planning process (forecasting / vendor volume planning)
Tracks / Manages quality of forecasting against accuracy targets.
Manage device ordering based on the company forecasts for each sales channel.
Manage and amend forecasting and ordering based on the process – amending as needed.
Responsible for clearing their product orders if it doesn't move as forecasted.
Responsible for leading all activities related to device availability. Maximize device revenue and margin while still maintaining healthy stocks in core retail channels.
Manage the entire process from building an order to delivering the stock to a partner.
This includes forecasting, approvals, payment tracking, subsidy tracking, support management, and delivery.
Manage the different wholesale portfolio to expand the products and potential.
Manage the different wholesale models to maximize revenue and margins. Manage the wholesale product portfolio.
Expand the products to increase market share on new product tiers.
Introduce new wholesale models to improve margin and revenues. Introduce and manage the integration and automation of wholesale sales.
Completely automate and simplify the wholesale process including introduction of possible tools and models
Manage and conclude partnership with main players in the market in order to have a new revenue stream and with less cost
Manage the new devices products portfolio by introducing new device categories : (Laptops, Smart items, IOT, gaming console, etc)
QualificationsBachelor Degree (Marketing, Business or Science is preferred)
Requirements5-6 years of experience of which 3 should be experience in telecom, software, consulting or IT sectors
3+ years of experience with mobile devices, such as handset, smartphones and wireless data terminals.
2+ years of experience in forecasting and channel/production planning for devices.
1+ years of inside sales or account management experience.
Experience with cross-functional sales and operational planning.
Ability to effectively operate within diverse and cross functional groups, including outside partners/suppliers
Proven track record in product development, devices & accessories, product marketing, events planning and partnerships
Core understanding of P+L and Budgets; ability to communicate in financial terms | elementary financial literacy
Desire to understanding of the key trends, technologies and companies in today's global communications landscape | must show passion and curiosity for accessoriesMS Office applications (focus Excel, PowerPoint)
Oracle supply-chain applications/or equivalent (desired / but not mandatory)
