Journeyman Electrician

This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP. Under the supervision of a Master Electrician, the selected candidate will install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, operate, and maintain electrical systems and components of electrical power distribution and generating equipment. The role includes performing operations and maintenance duties to ensure power supply to telecommunications equipment and maintaining the facility's electrical distribution system in good repair. Electrical work experience should include installation in commercial and industrial settings, adhering to NEC 2008 for repairs and upgrades, and NEC 2011 standards for new construction, in compliance with MIL Standards and Regulations.
Responsibilities- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, operate, and maintain electrical systems and components of power distribution and generation equipment.
- Maintain power supply to telecommunications equipment and ensure the electrical distribution system's good repair.
- Ensure electrical work complies with NEC 2008 for existing structures and NEC 2011 for new constructions, including MIL Standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; one year of related experience may substitute for one year of education.
- Must be CAC eligible or able to obtain a CAC.
- Possess a valid Journeyman Electrician license.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a host country driver's license.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in electrical wiring, planning, laying out, and installing electrical distribution systems under supervision of a qualified electrician.
- Skills: Thorough knowledge of Electrical Codes, ability to manage multiple sites, effective communication skills, safety awareness, and basic computer skills.
- Working Conditions: Capable of working in extreme temperatures exceeding 120°F, in harsh indoor and outdoor environments, including desert conditions.
- Physical Requirements: Light work with ability to lift up to 20 pounds, perform heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, and work in potentially hazardous environments. Use of PPE required, and compliance with safety regulations is mandatory.
- Working Conditions: Capable of working in extreme temperatures exceeding 120°F, in harsh indoor and outdoor environments, including desert conditions.
- Skills: Thorough knowledge of Electrical Codes, ability to manage multiple sites, effective communication skills, safety awareness, and basic computer skills.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in electrical wiring, planning, laying out, and installing electrical distribution systems under supervision of a qualified electrician.
