Overview

This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP. Under the supervision of the Environmental Manager, the candidate will ensure safety practices are followed. Major responsibilities include residential, commercial, and industrial pest management services, and the safe and efficient operation of industry-specific equipment for LOGCAP V AOR. The candidate must be knowledgeable of laws governing the application of pesticides and herbicides. Coordination of work and inspections with facility managers/occupants, researching materials, preparing documents, and responding to emergency service calls are also required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety practices are followed.
  • Coordinate work and inspections with facility managers/occupants.
  • Research materials and prepare necessary documents.
  • Respond to emergency service calls during regular or after-duty hours.
  • Manage residential, commercial, and industrial pest control services, and operate industry-specific equipment safely and efficiently for LOGCAP V AOR.
  • Must be knowledgeable of laws governing pesticide and herbicide application.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a copy must be provided.
  • At least one year of experience in the pest control field.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with a valid driver's license and able to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License and host nation Driver's License.
  • Possession of at least one of the following licenses/certifications: U.S. State issued Commercial, U.S. State issued Non-Commercial, or U.S. Department of Defense issued Pesticides Applicator. The license must be current and renewed before expiration.
  • Must obtain respiratory program certification within 90 days of employment and annually thereafter.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year in the pest control field.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use computer systems to perform duties.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Working Conditions:

  • Capable of working in extreme weather conditions exceeding 120°F.
  • Indoor and outdoor environments with harsh conditions, including hot, dry, desert environments with temperatures up to 130°F.

Physical Requirements:

  • Light work; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly.
  • May require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing or sitting, and working with potential exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
