Sales Staff

Job Purpose:

To deliver excellent customer service, support sales targets, ensure proper product display, and contribute to the smooth daily operation of Carina International Store by promoting and selling Asian grocery and lifestyle products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service & Sales

• Greet customers and assist them in finding products.

• Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries about product features, origin, and uses.

• Upsell and cross-sell products to increase average basket size.

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently during checkout.

2. Store Maintenance & Merchandising

• Ensure shelves are fully stocked, well-organized, and visually appealing at all times.

• Check for product expirations and rotate stocks following FIFO standards.

• Assist in receiving deliveries and inventory handling.

3. Cleanliness & Hygiene

• Maintain cleanliness of the store, counters, and chillers.

• Follow hygiene and food safety procedures as per Store & Kuwait's Baladiya guidelines.

4. Teamwork & Reporting

• Collaborate with fellow staff to maintain a smooth workflow.

• Report customer feedback, low stocks, or any operational issues to the Store Manager.

5. Compliance & Ethics

• Follow company policies and Kuwait labor laws.

• Maintain a professional, respectful attitude toward all customers and coworkers.

Qualifications:

High School Graduate or equivalent.

1+ year experience in retail or grocery sales preferred.

Basic knowledge of Asian products (Filipino, Korean, Thai, Japanese, etc.) is a plus.

Ability to communicate in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
