Overview

This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

  1. Performs the duties of the ESPE supervisor in his/her absence.
  2. Analyzes malfunctions and leads personnel engaged in Field Level Maintenance operations for Engineer Equipment, HVAC systems, Power Generation equipment, and special purpose equipment such as material handling equipment (MHE), firefighting apparatus/equipment, and small engine systems and ground support equipment.
  3. Conducts planning and scheduling of maintenance and services for all assigned equipment.
  4. Establishes maintenance and repair schedules based on equipment schedules and availability of parts, tools, and personnel. Prepares personnel work schedules and monitors performance.
  5. Hand receipt holder for tools, equipment, and spare parts assigned to the section.
  6. Monitors work orders and production on all assigned equipment requiring corrective action.
  7. Ensures daily reporting is current and updated.
  8. Maintains bench stock and POL in accordance with regulations.
  9. Identifies causes of equipment readiness deficiencies, takes corrective actions, and provides feedback on systemic issues.
  10. Enforces standards and adheres to Performance Work Statement within the work area.
  11. Provides reports on safety, quality, supply, and maintenance issues.
  12. Performs routine inspections.
  13. Prepares and submits reports and briefings to management or external agencies.
  14. Oversees driver training programs for Heavy Equipment, Special Purpose Equipment, and MHE.
  15. Performs environmental control duties.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; U.S. Citizen/CAC eligible or able to obtain a CAC; ability to obtain a Host Country Driver's License and Kuwaiti Driver's License; valid US Driver's License for at least 18-24 months.

Certifications: GCSS Army certification is required; Caterpillar, RETCH, EPA 608/609, and ASE certifications are preferred.

Experience: 2-4 years of maintenance and supply management, with at least 1 year in leadership; prior military or civilian training in Engineer, Utilities, Power generation, or Construction Equipment Maintenance is desired.

Skills: Knowledge of GCSS-Army, TAMMS, Class IX Supply; effective communication and organizational skills; troubleshooting HVAC and Caterpillar equipment; leadership and customer service skills; proficiency in MS Office; understanding of OSHA and environmental policies.

Working Conditions: Ability to work in extreme weather conditions exceeding 120°F, in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Physical Requirements: Medium work exerting up to 50 pounds; ability to perform heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, and prolonged standing or sitting; use of PPE required.
