Assistant Operations Manager

As the Assistant Operations Manager, you will ensure that the customer expectations for timely provision of contractually compliant equipment, drivers, and operators, 24/7 365 days per year are exceeded. Provide operational logistics support to the Operations Manager and act as the Alternate Operations Manager in his absence. Maintain control of day-to-day project operations in Kuwait while utilizing the project logistics staff as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintain the day-to-day Operations Control of Missions, Assets, and Base Access
2. Utilize FelixLive Tracking Platform to respond to USG Location Requests, Delays, Incidents etc., relating to assets deployed on mission
3. Track Missions via receipt of Transport Movement Requests (TMR's)
4. Daily and as requested - update BMC/MCT on mission's In-transit Visibility (ITV)
5. Daily – Track Missions via ITV and provide mission closure confirmation to BMC/MCT
6. Provide Incident Reports for all serious delays that impact on-time delivery
7. Monthly and as required – Summarize Mission Reports via xls and PPT and assist Operations Manager when presenting to customer (COR or Alt)
8. Prepare and process all heavy equipment (trucks &/or trailers) acceptance and cancellation transactions
9. Provide Monthly Asset Inventory - Summary Report to validate proof of delivery (POD) / invoicing
10. Provide Badging Summary updates to the Operations Manager
11. All expiring driver and truck documentation (i.e. passport, visa, license, registration, insurance, Dafta etc. due to expire within 30 days)
12. Assist with the monthly audits of vendor staff and facilities to ensure compliance with company/international/contractual EH&S policies.
13. Other Duties as required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

1. High School or GED Required; Associates or Bachelor's degree is desired
2. 3 yrs. experience in logistics or movement control work with U.S Military or similar
3. Five years' experience in U.S Military logistical and Movement Control is desired

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

1. Competent in operating Satellite Commercial In-Transit Visibility Software or USG Global Distribution Management Systems (GDMS)
2. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
3. Prepared and able to work closely with a multi-national team and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues who use English as their second language

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess a valid U.S. Passport (preferred)
• Valid US Driver's License with clean driving report
• Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures
• Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
