Job Summary:
A senior technical role with responsibility for the maintenance and operation of the P5 Combat Training System based in Kuwait. The successful candidate will help to stand up and deliver the Kuwait F18 P5CTS Ops and Maintenance Program. The successful candidate will work at the Ahmad al-Jaber Air Base and report to the Site Manager who will be co-located.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a log containing the serial number, pod type, date, time, and remarks for all P5CTS pods checked in and out of the P5CTS pod shop.
- Maintain a daily status/availability log on all P5CTS pods.
- Maintain a record of elapsed Time Meter readings on a monthly basis and determine each pod's operational time for the month.
- Operate and maintain the P5CTS Test Set in accordance with the applicable technical documentation.
- Perform Organizational-Level (O-Level) and Intermediate-Level (I-Level) maintenance tests and replacement of the Shop Replaceable Assemblies (SRAs) on the P5CTS pods.
- Assist as required in the operation and maintenance of the display equipment.
- Perform duties of computer operations technician as required, which include:
- Load programs for operation and test.
- Perform subsystem test to assess operational readiness.
- Load all pre-mission exercise data into the Data Recorder Device (DRD).
- Maintain a control log of DRD issue to and receipt from aircrews.
- Operate the graphics terminals during live exercises and assist with display and control operations.
- Provide technical assistance to aircrews in setting up for replay/debriefing.
- Maintain and store records of mission tapes.
- Maintain a mission event log with specific, concise, and pertinent data entered under the following headings: date, time, mission/event, remarks, and operator.
- Interface directly with the aircrew regarding mission sortie effectiveness.
- Perform additional operations duties as directed by the Site Supervisor.
- Comply with Cubic's values and adherence to all company policy and procedures, including the code of conduct, quality, security, and occupational health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties assigned by their manager from time-to-time, as may be reasonably required of them.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
Essential:
- Technical background in a similar role with experience of working in a military environment.
- Basic IT skills using MS Office and testing software.
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Ability to use electronic tools and testing equipment.
- Position requires the ability to lift 75lbs and entails bending, reaching, and fitting into tight places to perform normal duties.
Desirable:
- Prior military experience and leadership training would be beneficial.
- Prior experience working in a remote and/or foreign environment.
- Prior experience in Computer Networking.
Education and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent military experience, plus proven relevant experience in an electronics-related industry.
- College qualification in a technical related field; or equivalent technical education and military experience.
- Must possess a driving license.
Desirable:
- Computer Networking qualifications.

Individual must have the ability to adapt to a remote and/or foreign environment with associated skills in diplomacy and cultural awareness. Diligent, with attention to detail and high levels of integrity and discipline. Good inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate in an efficient and flexible manner. Ability to work as part of a team towards individual and shared goals. Ability to work with foreign and military personnel. Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiatives and under pressure. Willingness to travel as needed in order to deliver company objectives as may reasonably be required.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
