Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Deliver civil engineering services that meet Company, its customers, and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget with an optimized design approach.
  2. Perform civil engineering services such as:
  3. Client Coordination and ensuring the Work meets Client/Company requirements.
  4. Analysis and Design of steel and concrete structures according to various international codes and standards (e.g., European, American, British, Process industry practice codes).
  5. Experience in KOC, KNPC, KIPIC Projects, with a minimum of 5 years and an approved Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) Licence preferred.
  6. Must have executed projects as a "Civil/Structural Lead" and have project approval with Kuwait Operating Companies like KOC, KNPC, KIPIC.
  7. Analysis and Design of structures and equipment foundations for static/dynamic loading, substation buildings, blast-resistant buildings, pipe racks, and stormwater network systems.
  8. Preparation of Basis of Design, Material Specifications, Material take-offs, Scopes of Work, and Technical reports.
  9. Competent in preparing design calculations for steel and concrete structures, seismic design, blast loads, dynamic loads, and extreme wind loads, including developing design sketches and passing relevant information to designers.
  10. Coordinate with other disciplines and designers for CAD drawings, typically using MicroStation and AutoCAD.
  11. Knowledge of Model Reviews and reviewer files for 3D, PDMS, PDS is an advantage.
  12. Collaborate with other disciplines to accommodate their requirements and with designers in preparing structural and foundation drawings, ensuring clash-free design.
  13. Provide technical support to team members and contribute to lessons learned database.
  14. Ensure all work is carried out with a positive attitude toward safety, both in design and in the office environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  1. Master's in Structural Engineering or B.Tech in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering background from a reputed university.
  2. Engineering Certificate approved by KSE and attested by Kuwait MOE.
  3. Minimum of 15+ years experience in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, or Refineries industries.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office, STAAD PRO, M3D, Navisworks.
