JOB DESCRIPTION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver civil engineering services that meet company, customer, and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications.
  • Perform civil engineering services such as:
  • Analysis and design of steel and concrete structures according to various international codes and standards (e.g., European, American, British, Process industry practice codes).
  • Analysis and design of structures and equipment foundations for static loading.
  • Prepare design calculations for steel and concrete structures, seismic design, and extreme wind loads; develop design sketches and pass relevant information to designers.
  • Coordinate with designers in preparing CAD drawings, typically using MicroStation and AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to accommodate their requirements and coordinate structural and foundation drawings to ensure clash-free design.
  • Ensure all work prioritizes safety, both in design and office environment.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with KOC, KNPC projects, and an approved Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) license.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering or B.Tech in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering background from a reputed university.
  • Engineering certificate approved by KSE and attested by Kuwait MOE.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, and/or Refinery industries.
  • Proficient in MS Office, STAAD PRO, M3D, and Navisworks.
