Senior Field Support Engineer

Key Responsibility:

• Ensure that all Field Support personnel are familiar with locations and areas they are covering.
• Distribute Field Support personnel on locations/areas based on incidents load.
• Ensure Field Support personnel familiarity with all assets (Hardware, Software, OS) and the Company Applications.
• Ensure that all personnel have the right tools and diagnostics Software to enable them to conduct their tasks in an efficient way.
• Keep Field Support personnel fully aware regarding any Operational or Technical Standards (procedures, memos, installations procedures, patches, etc.).
• Knowledge and skills exchange between Field Support personnel.
• Personally handle top management service requests and incidents.
• Daily monitor of unassigned incidents or delayed incidents.
• Initial filtering for candidates to fill installation and Field Support personnel posts.
• Supervise workshop (items repair, replacements, warranty, new image preparation, old PCs/Notebooks image preparation, etc.).
• Be updated and always abide by Company procedures and policies.
• Carry out any other responsibilities or tasks, which are instructed by the Company.
• Implement continuous improvements to enhance the efficiency and productivity of Mail and Network staff.
• Ensure the Company user community is notified on Planned Network Outages (shutdown, password changes etc.).
• Conduct preventative maintenance, install critical updates, and security patches on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Manage Antivirus Signature updates on all Desktops and Servers.
• Manage External and Internal DNS Servers with Domain Controllers.
• Manage SCOM, DNS, SCCM, wsus, File Servers.
• Install, implement the latest OS on Servers. Create, modify and delete Office 365 User Accounts and Mailboxes as per request.
• Handle File Server's data security, assigning permissions etc.
• Manage and maintain File Server's capacity, storage planning, and database performance.
• Manage Windows Clusters Servers including SQL and File Servers.
• Prepare, test, and maintain new Servers with required standards and guidelines.
• Ensure that sparing level is adequate for the Servers and SAN storage.
• Proactive monitoring on all Servers, SAN switches and SAN storage.
• Installing, configuring and maintaining Servers and storage.
• Maintain essential IT operations, including but not limited to OSs, security tools, Applications, Servers, email systems, Software, and Hardware.
• Manage Active Directory Domain Controllers, Microsoft Office 365, Azure, Hyper-V, and VMware daily administration.
• Manage backup operations of all systems and data.
• Manage storage solutions for VM virtual hard disks, database Files, user data, and Application data.
• Liaise with vendors and IT teams for problem resolution, troubleshoot, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.

Requirements:

• University Degree in Computer/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent.
• Certified in at least three or more of the following Certifications:
• - Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
• - Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
• - Microsoft Office Specialist: Expert.
• - CompTIA A+.
• - ITIL 4 Foundation.
• - CCNA.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent in English and preferably have knowledge of Arabic as well.
• Must possess a valid Kuwaiti driving license.
• 6+ years' experience in Hardware, Software, Network and Application support services.
• 2+ years of experience as Field Support (Hardware/Software) in a similar project (a client certification must be provided).
• Excellent experience in troubleshooting and repairing Desktop PCs, Notebooks and Peripherals at the component level.
• Excellent experience in analyzing, diagnosing and solving Hardware, Software, Network and Applications related problems.
• Excellent experience in installing, supporting and troubleshooting Windows 11, Microsoft Office 2019 and Office 365 Applications (or latest).
