The main objective of Souq.com Marketplace Business Development Associate is to identify new business opportunities. This involves:

  1. Understanding what Souq.com Marketplace is and how it works.
  2. Researching, identifying, engaging, and setting up meetings with prospective Marketplace sellers across key categories, including both small merchants and major retailers/brands.
  3. Thinking creatively to improve the company's seller base and selection, which may involve identifying new category segments or potential sellers.
Business Development Professional Job Duties:
  • Identifies opportunities by researching the internet, directories, industry events, publications, LinkedIn, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
  • Sets up in-person meetings or phone appointments with prospective marketplace sellers and company business development managers.
  • Manages and updates own business development contacts and data via company CRM.
  • Protects the organization's value by keeping proprietary information confidential.
