Position Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving goods, inventory control, and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of warehouse functions. This role involves direct supervision of warehouse staff and collaboration with other departments to meet organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory transactions.
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as necessary to prevent shortages.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of goods to optimize space and accessibility.

Shipping and Receiving:

  • Oversee the receipt of incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Coordinate the timely dispatch of goods to central kitchens and outlets.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to shipments or deliveries.

Staff Supervision and Development:

  • Lead and motivate warehouse staff to achieve operational goals.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Procurement Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to plan and forecast inventory needs.
  • Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and monitor delivery schedules.
  • Communicate with suppliers to resolve any issues related to orders or deliveries.

Job Descriptions

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Enforce adherence to health, safety, and food storage principles.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards.
  • Ensure that all warehouse activities comply with HACCP standards.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of all stock movements and transactions.
  • Prepare and submit regular inventory and stock movement reports.
  • Ensure proper filing and documentation of all procurement and warehouse-related
  • paperwork.

Skills

Skills and Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor Degree would be an advantage.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the food or hotel industry.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Oracle or similar ERP systems will be advantageous.

Core Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move heavy items up to 20 kgs.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in varying temperatures and conditions.
  • Driving License.
