Position Summary:

The Public Relations & Communications & Events Specialist will manage the university's public relations, external communications, and event coordination to enhance the university's visibility and reputation.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and official statements.
  • Develop content for announcements, invitations, speeches, and campaigns.
  • Monitor media coverage, analyze performance, and prepare reports.
  • Support internal communication efforts like faculty/staff announcements and newsletters.
  • Assist in protocol coordination for high-profile visits and events.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on communication strategies.
  • Manage crisis communication with appropriate messaging.
  • Organize and execute university events, ensuring smooth logistics.
  • Maintain message consistency and brand tone across all communications.
  • Handle sponsorship communications, partner announcements, and follow-ups.
  • Draft and edit official documents such as sponsorship letters and proposals.
  • Coordinate external communications with media outlets and partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Professional certificates are a plus.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years in PR, Communications, or Event Management, preferably in education or corporate sectors.
  • Experience in planning and supervising events.
