Job Description

Food preparation work and basic cooking under the supervision of a chef de partie or section chef, rotating through sections such as sauce, vegetables, fish and butchery roughly every six months.

Educational Details:

Qualifications: Professional certificate

Experience: 2-6 years

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. To report any maintenance issues to the Head Chef immediately.
  2. To comply with all Goodwood policies and procedures to ensure that all statutory regulations are observed.
  3. To comply with the conditions of the food hygiene policies.
  4. To be flexible and willing to help other departments at busy times if required.
  5. Ensuring good hygiene and health and safety always.
  6. Preparing ingredients for the team.
  7. Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes.
  8. Helping with deliveries of stock.
  9. Support the Demi Chef de Partie in the daily operation and in work.
  10. Work according to the menu specifications by the Chef de Partie.
  11. Keep work area in hygienic conditions according to the rules set by the hotel.
  12. Control food stock and food cost in his section.
  13. Prepare the daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or satellites.
  14. Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate Superiors to complete the daily tasks.
  15. Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
  16. Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness.
