Amentum is seeking linguists with excellent English skills to support our intelligence community customer OCONUS. We are looking for dedicated linguist professionals in various languages/dialects to support military operations in Kuwait as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Linguists will provide language services and contribute cultural insights related to the region's history, politics, sociology, and economy.

  • Provide operational contract linguist support for military operations, including interpretation during interviews, meetings, and conferences.
  • Transcribe and analyze verbal communications.
  • Research and analyze foreign language documents for key information.
  • Offer translation and interpretation services for Kurdish.

Job Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Excellent command of Kurdish and English, with ILR proficiency level 3 in Kurdish and 2+ in English.
  • Current U.S. passport (or apply upon acceptance).
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Willingness to work in Kuwait and other Middle Eastern locations.
  • Availability to work shifts and extended hours for 24/7 operations.
  • Familiarity with and ability to adhere to local culture and customs.
  • Under age 65 and able to meet medical and dental qualifications.
  • If aged 59-64, ability to provide proof of a college degree for residency purposes.
