Amentum is seeking linguists with excellent English skills to grow our talented and diverse team globally towards our mission's success. We are looking for dedicated linguist professionals in a variety of languages/dialects to support our intelligence community customer OCONUS. Linguists will support U.S. military operations in Kuwait as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in an assigned area of responsibility. They will contribute a range of language services and provide cultural insights into the region's historical, political, sociological, and economic trends to senior leadership.

Principal Responsibilities:
  1. Provide operational contract linguist support for military operations, including interpreting during interviews, meetings, and conferences.
  2. Transcribe and analyze verbal communications.
  3. Research and analyze foreign language documents for key information.
  4. Provide translation and interpretation services for Urdu.
Job Requirements:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Must have excellent command of Urdu (target language) and English, with ILR proficiency level 3 in Urdu and level 2+ in English based on oral and written assessments.
  3. Must hold a current U.S. passport or apply upon acceptance into the program.
  4. Must possess an active Secret clearance for access to classified information.
  5. Willingness to work in Kuwait and other locations in the Middle East.
  6. Willingness to work shifts and extended hours to support 24/7 operations.
  7. Familiarity with and ability to conduct oneself according to local culture and customs.
  8. Must be under 65 years old and able to meet army MOD15 medical and dental standards.
  9. If aged 59-64, must provide proof of a college degree for residency requirements.
