Job Summary

We are looking to hire a Senior iOS (Objective-C & Swift) Engineer at Tiqmo Kuwait who will play a central role in designing, developing, and maintaining our iOS applications, ensuring that they deliver a seamless and user-friendly experience to our customers.

The role expertise in Swift app development will be pivotal in driving the success of our FinTech services.

Primary Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality, user-friendly iOS applications using Swift that meet business and user requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create feature-rich and reliable fintech applications.

UI/UX Design and Optimization:

  • Work closely with designers to implement visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces.
  • Optimize the user experience by fine-tuning app usability and responsiveness.

Architecture and Code Quality:

  • Follow best practices for iOS app architecture and code organization using Swift.
  • Implement and promote clean, maintainable Swift code, and conduct code reviews to ensure high quality.

API Integration:

  • Integrate with backend APIs and services, ensuring secure and efficient data transfer.
  • Handle data synchronization, offline capabilities, and error handling.

Unit Testing and Debugging:

  • Develop unit tests for critical app components in Swift to maintain code quality.
  • Identify and resolve bugs, issues, and performance bottlenecks promptly

Performance Optimization:

  • Optimize app performance by addressing memory management and enhancing resource usage using Objective-C & Swift.
  • Implement caching and data storage strategies to improve response times.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement security best practices in Objective-C & Swift to safeguard user data and financial information.
  • Ensure that the app complies with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, app architecture, and app functionalities in Objective-C & Swift to facilitate team understanding and knowledge sharing.

Continuous Learning and Innovation:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest iOS and Objective-C & Swift development trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Explore new features and enhancements to keep the app competitive.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of proven track record in a similar role
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an iOS developer with a strong focus on Objective-C & Swift app development.
  • Proficiency in Objective-C, Swift and Xcode.
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and guidelines for iOS app design.
  • Experience with API integration, data synchronization, and offline capabilities.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance in the financial industry is a plus.
