The Pace Senior Electrical Engineer will be instrumental in the design of electrical systems as per client requirements, considering health and safety regulations. The incumbent will handle multiple electrical design projects simultaneously working closely with Pace leaders, client representatives, and managing subordinates to execute electrical designs and peers in a cross-functional work environment.

1. Assist on site electrical engineers by responding to technical queries and assist site staff in verifying sample materials submitted by contractors, if any.
2. Assist the Associate Director and Lead Engineer in the evaluation of proposals submitted by sub-consultants during RFP issued by PACE and recommend sub-consultants to owners/clients.
3. Assist in conducting site surveys (as and when required) in order to investigate the layout of existing electrical systems prior to design and coordinate with local ministries as required.
4. Check the existing site electrical utilities, telephone etc. for tie-in/connections to minimize the design, if needed.
5. Consider feedback from Resident Engineer and Senior Engineer on project and consult clients on design clarification and modification during the design development.
6. Coordinate effectively with other disciplines throughout project lifecycle. Review drawings and specifications ensuring adequate provisions in electrical designs are made based on the designs provided by the other sections.
7. Coordinate with team members effectively to ensure all projects progress as planned to avoid delays or budget overruns; update the Associate Director and Lead Engineer on progress.
8. Develop a thorough understanding of client design requirements, Contract, Terms of Reference (TOR), Request for Proposal (RFP), etc., prior to starting any design project.
9. Document, record, and report on meetings, project progress, and construction completion from design & validation reports received from the project manager.
10. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, latest standards, applicable codes, and regulations; assist in establishing/updating section policies and procedures. Utilize the latest engineering software.
11. Ensure preparation of accurate design calculations and documents for submission and approval from concerned ministries (e.g., MEW, MOC, KFF, KNPC, etc.) related to electrical, fire alarm, telephone, etc.
12. Ensure that electronic components and materials specified for electrical designs are relevant and comply with statutory requirements, updating specifications as needed.
13. Ensure the bill of quantity (BoQ) document for the electrical design is prepared and coordinated with the quantity survey department in compiling contract documents (e.g., specifications, cost estimates, etc.).
14. Evaluate or prepare electrical load calculation requirements based on the power consumption of all electro-mechanical systems (lighting, power, equipment, security systems, elevators, etc.).
15. Meet manufacturers/suppliers of electrical components and materials as needed to understand material technical specifications.
16. Maintain continuous quality control on all drawings produced under the section, ensuring adherence to PACE quality, CAD standards, and Revit BIM requirements.
17. Prepare data collection reports, concept design reports, preliminary and detailed design reports, and related documents.
18. Prepare design sketches for modelers/draftsmen to produce design drawings, and oversee their work.
19. Stay updated on changes in local ministerial requirements regarding electrical systems and ensure updates in specifications.
20. Keep abreast of advancements in electrical materials, components, and codes, applying them to designs.
21. Support the Associate Director and Lead Engineer in providing inputs to proposals regarding the Electrical section's contribution to projects.

• 12+ years in Electrical Design and Site Supervision, with at least 5 years of design experience.
• At least 5 years managing teams in a similar environment and on multiple projects.
• Experience in the Middle East, preferably Kuwait.
• Experience in project presentations to clients and authorities.
• Design experience for Mega Projects across various categories.
• Experience in value engineering and sustainability design.
• Proficiency with local and international electrical codes and standards.
• Knowledge of local regulations and standards.
• Working knowledge of electrical design software (e.g., DIALUX, ETAP) and CAD / REVIT.
• Experience with international projects and standards.
• Ability to prepare BoQ and project budgets.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE) membership (realistically achievable within probation).
• Advanced BIM Revit certification.
• MEW License.
• Membership in international electrical bodies (e.g., IEEE).
• Project Management certification.
• LEED certification.
