About the role:
Specialist overseeing factory acceptance testing (FAT/iFAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) for quay and yard cranes, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and reliability requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop/agree FAT/SAT protocols with OEMs; verify instrumentation, load cases, and acceptance criteria.

  • Witness structural, mechanical, and control system tests; validate dynamic performance and safety PLCs.

  • Track non‑conformances, snag lists, and re‑tests; sign‑off test packs and certification dossiers.

  • Advice on erection methodology, alignment, rope/reeving, braking, and drive tuning.

  • Benchmark cycle times, sway, positioning accuracy, and energy consumption against specification.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical/Electrical; OEM/port crane background essential.

  • 10+ years with STS/RTG/RMG/ASC equipment; proven FAT/SAT leadership and standards knowledge.

  • Familiarity with EN/IEC, FEM, ISO crane codes; strong QA mindset and documentation rigor.
