General Accountant

Experience Required:

3–5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and bookkeeping, ideally within the construction, infrastructure, or corporate sectors.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to support the company's day-to-day financial activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, monitoring accounts, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and periodic financial reports.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and irregularities.

Bookkeeping & Account Management:

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, process invoices and payments, and maintain precise records of all financial transactions.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Support the development of budgets and financial projections.
• Track financial performance against budgeted targets.

Compliance & Audit Support:

• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Prepare necessary documentation for internal and external audits.

Accounting Systems & ERP:

• Utilize accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Tally, or Odoo (preferred).
• Improve financial workflows and generate accurate system-based reports.

Problem-Solving & Initiative:

• Identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Provide insights that support financial planning and decision-making.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

• Work closely with project teams, management, and other departments to support financial operations and procurement activities.

Confidentiality & Ethics:

• Manage financial documents and information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.

Adaptability & Multitasking:

• Handle multiple accounting tasks efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA (preferred)
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic (preferred)
