Performance Engineer

Jazeera Airways is looking for Performance Engineer who is accountable for the routes studies, aircraft performance, flight planning admin, EFB & technical library and maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) such as safety, security, cost, compliance, operational integrity in compliance with Company standards and the Kuwait DGCA regulations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Carry out route studies for new destinations.
• Check suitability of aerodromes for type of aircraft operated by the Company.
• Ensure adequate and effective analysis of individual airplane and fleet wide performance (APM), fuel consumption and conservation initiatives, overall mission analysis to monitor trends and track critical factors. Provide associated reports and recommendations to higher management.
• Communicate with aircraft manufacturer's representatives for any operational requirements.
• Maintaining FMS Navigation Data Base and Flight Planning System database.
• Ensure publishing of aircraft performance related data, weight & balance data, procedures, updating of manuals and Entry into Service (EIS) of new aircraft. Ensuring satisfactory safety level and compliance with the local authority's requirements.
• Carry out Performance Observation Flights for validation of flight data and to establish Bias Factors for OFPs.
• Ensure adequate technical liaison between flight operations and engineering as required by operations manual and KCASRs, including but not limited to technical issues impacting flight operations, flight tests, regulatory compliance requirements etc.
• Ensure the provision of specialist technical expertise and information for the support of flight operations, fleet management and OCC where necessary.
• Liaise with Ground Handling and load control for issues related to Ground Handling, Weight & Balance and Load Control.
• Monitor all requirements and changes associated with navigation, terrain escape routes & other airspace requirements and take appropriate action.
• Maintaining library of all Technical Manuals and amendments for distribution to crew as delegated by Operations management.
• Plan fuel budget based on data received from Network Planning departments.
• Compiling historical fuel burn data and provide projections for Business Plans.
• Compliance with company operational standards and requirements of Kuwait DGCA rules & regulations and, other applicable regulatory authorities that have jurisdiction over international operations conducted by the company over the high seas or the territory of a state.
• Assist the Chief Pilot in comprehensive evaluation of all current and future projects from a technical & financial perspective and prepare recommendations to higher management for further action. Ensure services, data, products and equipment purchased/acquired from external sources for flight operations meets the technical and applicability requirements of the company.
• Reviewing of post flight documents, journey logs and other reports to take follow - up action on areas related performance
• Active member of the Fuel Efficiency Project and prime point of contact for data analysis and monitoring.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering,
• 3 years experience in Aircraft Performance engineering functions
• Manufacturer's Aircraft Performance Engineering Training on the type of Aircraft Operated
• Thorough knowledge of the content of operational manuals, provisions of company AOC, regulations and standards related to safe operations.
