Position Title: Engineer – Maintenance Services

Location: Kuwait city

Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

The Maintenance Services Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, reliability, and safety of all equipment, machinery, and facility systems. This role involves planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating with internal teams and contractors, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and enhance operational performance

Key Responsibilities1. Maintenance Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for machinery and facility systems.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and develop corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely and effective execution of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure optimal stock levels.

2. Troubleshooting & Technical Support

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
  • Provide on-site technical assistance to maintenance technicians and operations staff.
  • Recommend modifications or upgrades to improve reliability and efficiency.

3. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment maintenance.
  • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and downtime logs.
  • Prepare performance reports, maintenance KPIs, and improvement plans.
  • Update asset management systems (CMMS or EAM).

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability and reducing maintenance costs.
  • Lead or participate in projects such as reliability engineering, lean maintenance, and energy optimization.
  • Train maintenance staff on best practices and new technologies

Qualifications & SkillsEducation

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.

Experience

  • 7–10 years of experience in maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, or equipment maintenance (industry-specific experience preferred).

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals.

Language & Communication

  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
