Safety Supervisor

Job Summary

The Safety Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices across project and operational sites to ensure compliance with company policies, project standards, and client requirements. Duties include supervising site personnel, conducting inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards, preparing safety reports, and coordinating corrective actions. The role requires strong knowledge of HSE regulations and management systems, effective leadership and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to promote a proactive safety culture through training, monitoring, and engagement with site teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in safety supervision within the construction industry, preferably in oil and gast or infrastructure projects.
• Holds valid HSE certifications such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent recognized safety qualifications.
• Must have valid residency in Kuwait.

Responsibilities

• Site Safety Supervision: Supervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with established safety procedures, project requirements, and applicable standards.
• Coordination with Project Teams: Liaise with project managers, engineers, and supervisors to identify potential safety concerns and provide guidance on safe work practices and compliance requirements.
• Inspection and Monitoring Activities: Conduct routine site inspections, observe work methods, and verify that personnel are equipped with appropriate tools, equipment, and protective gear before commencing work.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain and update safety logs, inspection reports, and other documentation to ensure accurate records of daily activities, findings, and follow-up actions.
• Incident Follow-Up: Assist in gathering information, preparing reports, and coordinating with relevant departments following workplace incidents or near-miss events to ensure timely communication and documentation.
• Team Supervision and Support: Oversee and support safety team and site personnel in implementing daily safety requirements, ensuring consistent application of company and project-specific HSE procedures.
